Thoughts and such

I'm back, and on a much much brighter note. When I last left you, I was terribly sad, and quite down with life. As I speak, or actually type, to you know, I am much happier. Recently, myself and about a hundred other people embarked on a journey to Florida, heading for the happiest place on earth. Well, we got there, and had a great time. We got to see two of the "fireworks" shows, or whatever you want to call them. We also spent some time in each one of the 4 parks. I made some new friends, and to my knowledge, didn't lose any. We recieved a gold award, and a ranking of Superior, which is the highest. All-in-all the trip was a blast, except maybe the ride home. I think we discovered the recipe for the worst smell in the universe. Honestly, the smell on the back of that bus, could kill a full-grown whale. Aside from that, the ride home was alright. Something else going well, both my computer and my Jeep are completely payed off! I am no longer in debt, and I OWN my own Jeep and computer. 'Tis a good feeling. For all of those who had your vehicle bought for you, I chuckle at you, *chuckle*. Also, Short Notice is thriving. We just recently signed up for the Pleasent H.S. battle of the bands. Which is at 7:00 p.m. on April 7th. I expect to see each one of you there. It's also Spring Break now, which means I am out of school, and really don't have too much besides band practice. So, if you, or someone you know would like to do something that involves me, go ahead and tell me. I'm open for a movie, an arcade, dinner, lunch, brunch, twister, karaoke, clubbin', orgies, whatever it is, I'm game. Also, I appearently have many people that love and care about me, so thanks! That wraps things up for now. For more information on Short Notice, go to http://www.myspace.com/shortnotice4. Have a nice Spring Break.

The past few days, may have been some of the worse I have ever had. These things will not be listed in chronological order, or in level of importance. To start things off, we had our septic tank back up on us. Which of course means, there was shit, in our shower. Literally. Fortunately we got it cleaned out and the septic problem fixed, at about 12 in the morning, on a school night. Needless to say, much sleep wasn't to be had. Nextly, my car battery died. For some reason or another, my driver door was left ajar in the garage. Which leads to a battery draining. It is the only mechanical problem I've ever had with my Jeep. But, we got that all fixed up by way of a "trickle charger", it's used to recharge things. . . .somewhat slowly. After that, I started it up, and let it recharge itself back up, in about 15 minutes, Green Meanie was as good as new, or as before anyway. Nextly, my Grandmother passed away on Monday, sometime in the very early morning. Her funeral was held today, March 21st, on my birthday. Which in itself, isn't too aweful bad. Because had it been a day or two later, I would've been in Florida, so I am somewhat grateful that her time was able to come at a slightly convenient time. It was the first funeral I had ever gone to. My other Grandmother on my father's side passed away before I was born, and my Grandfather on my father's passed away when I was about 4, so my parents thought it not appropriate for me to go to that. It was a short and simple funeral, as my Grandmother was somewhat of a simple person herself. Niether her or my surviving grandfather are the showy type. The reverend performing the ceremony sang a couple songs, they were very nice. The feeling there was pretty much surreal. We all stood in a green tent-like thing, while the wind howled. Everyone pretty much held there heads down, and cried, while the reverend sang, and read some verses from the bible. It really felt like those scenes you see in the movies, something the cinema can get right. I kind of had one of those moments where you feel closer to god during the ceremony. Almost when you feel like someone has their hand on your shoulder, and they're letting you know that everything is going to be okay. One thing that the reverend said that I kind of took to heart, was that we shouldn't be the ones crying, she should be. All of her troubles and worries are gone now, we're the ones that still have hardships and problems to overcome. Well, enough of that. Needless to say, it kind of gave the entire day a nasty overcast. Afterwards, we went out for dinner, to celebrate my birthday, although I don't think anyone really felt like it. For some reason, whenever we went to someplace, the hostess/waitress/clerk would ask us how our day was going. I suppose they're kind of obligated to though. To top even that, upon arriving home, I discovered a vrius on my computer. Well, big whoop right? Nope. When you personally have paid over $2,500 for something, it doesn't seem like a big whoop. It wasn't some little pansy virus either, it was a mean ass. It corrupted all of my Norton files, so I couldn't even find it and delete it. So, I made the half-hour trip back to our old house, to pick up all of my backup software. I then made the half-hour trip back here, what fun. All-in-all, everything has been pretty much mended. I still have a good hour of homework to do, and it is currently 11:53 p.m. Only one more day of school before Florida, and Spring Break though. I finally understand what people mean when they say, "Man, I need a vacation."

Something that pisses me off. People's religious views. More specifically that of the Christian and Catholic varieties. This is coming in response to reading some comments and a friend's blog about Gay Marriage. How these people take what they believe, and use it for absolute and undeniable fact for everyone else is simply disguisting. How they complain about the closedmindedness of people, but they themselves cannot see beyond their own prejudices. How they skew the meanings of politcal and religious documents on a whim. How they belive everyone elses life should be lived by their personal values. How they do not even question something, and just blindly follow along with it, and expect everyone else to do the same. As the author said, society is something that evolves and changes, it isn't the same now, as it was 100 years ago. People back then were finding passages from the bible that supported slavery, or at least, saying that those passages supported it. You people now are no different then the biggots of yesteryear. They're just a different shade of black, and you're just burning a different cross. It also pisses me off when people don't leave comments. I couldn't get more controversial on here if I showed a picture of myself raping a dead dog.
